Mission
Black Cathedral exists to provide a safe, consent-led community sanctuary where people are allowed to be fully human—seen in their wholeness, including shadow, difference, and “too muchness”—without pressure to perform, fix, or become anything other than who they are.

It's a remembering, becoming and coming home to self and community.
I have not come here to be saved—
I have come here to be seen.
To stand as I am,
name intact, story unedited,
without asking permission to exist.
I bring what I carry
not for fixing,
but for holding.
Not for judgment,
but for truth.
This is the Black Cathedral—
a place shaped by listening.
Where silence is allowed,
and so is voice.
Where nothing is demanded,
and nothing is denied.
Here, the shadow is not feared
and the light is not performed.
Grief has room to breathe.
Joy has space to arrive.
All of it belongs.
I do not enter to erase who I’ve been,
nor to rush who I am becoming.
I come to stand in the in-between,
with others who understand
that change does not need to be forced
to be real.
I am not alone.
I am not broken.
I am allowed to be here—
as I am,
and as I change.
