Inspired Alchemy started with a question we haven't stopped asking:
What does it actually mean to be human?
Not the polished version. Not the optimized version. The real one.
The one who plays the same song three times because something in it hits differently today. Who has deep conversations over coffee at midnight. Who changes their mind, loses their way, falls apart, makes something weird, starts again, and keeps becoming.
Our work has wandered through nervous systems, emotional intelligence, embodiment, relationships, intimacy, creativity, music, culture, and all the strange little things that make a life feel like a life.
Somewhere along the way, Inspired Alchemy grew into something bigger.
Black Cathedral emerged as the gathering place—the darker, louder, slightly weirder sibling. A home for the alternative kids who grew up, the humans who never quite fit neatly into the boxes they were handed, and anyone craving real connection in a world that can feel increasingly disconnected.
Together, they exist somewhere between a classroom and a record store, a deep conversation and a basement show, personal development and simply sitting around a table with people who let you be yourself.
We're not here to create a better, shinier version of you.
We're here for the messy, curious, creative, complicated human already standing in the room.
Come as you are.

Meet the Founder: Lizzie
Lizzie is the founder of Inspired Alchemy and Black Cathedral and the life of both, known as perpetual alchemy. She started out wanting to be a better mom and in turn ended up becoming more whole than she could have ever imagined. This was never really about her though, It was about helping humans realize their magic and turning it all the way up.

Inspired Alchemy is the work done inside the Cathedral.
The journey may begin outside its walls—with a conversation, a song, a question, a moment that makes you wonder if there might be more—but the deeper work happens within.
Through Alchemical Human Development, we explore the nervous system, emotional intelligence, embodiment, relationships, intimacy, creativity, and the beautifully complicated experience of being human.
Not to create a shinier, more optimized version of you (yes, it happens as a by-product), but to understand yourself more deeply, experience your life more fully, and keep becoming without leaving yourself behind.

Built at the intersection of alternative culture, music, art, conversation, and community, it's a place to gather, discover, question, create, and belong.

Perpetual Alchemy is the philosophy woven through everything we do: there is no final version of you.
Life moves in seasons. We learn, unravel, rebuild, remember, change our minds, and begin again. There is no finish line where you finally become who you're supposed to be.
The alchemy is perpetual.
